Ricardo is on a distinguished road
Dan, assuming the mass to be around 2000g, and 165w/kg for scale-like flight, you are looking at a 330w powerplant. The 0.15 will give 200w(underpowered) while the Saito0.40 will be around 520w(overpowered).

A four stroke 28 would be a perfect fit...

I believe an electric motor in the 0.10 range like the rimfire will provide the power you need, by adjusting the prop size. Actually, a low kv electric gives you the flexibility of going from 3S to 4S and boosting power significantly if needed. I am using a Turnigy G15 on 4S and it is delivering in excess of 400w, and it doesn't even get warm (spinning a 11x5.5, with a 4S lipo).

Let us know your choice,

Ricardo
