Hello Reiner;
Try and experiment first with polyester coat linings available
in different colours such as tan and brown you may also use
RIT fabric dyes for the colour of your choice.
For a sealer MinWAX Polycrylics is a good choice you have
to thicken the first coat (which you apply with a brush) with
a bit of Johnson's Baby Powder. This is to avoid the sealer
from running under the weave. Nitrate dope is good too, available
from Aircraft Spruce (They have a branch in Toronto now).
Nelson's do have some very light stuff. If you are satisfied
with the polyester linings already coloured to your choice then
you will not need to use the baby powder.
