Hi Guys, well as you most know I am OFF this weekend. yes

So, I have decided to do something for the guys

If the BBQ still there I will put on a cookout.

Thats right...you read right.
I will bring all the fixings for the cookout for about 20 heads give or take two or three (LOL)

The only thing I might be short would be something to drink. I don't have a big enough cooler so I will do what I can.

The food would be International (Greek) hehe.
No hot dogs or burgers too much cholesterol.

Chicken souvlaki, Greek salad and pita bread..

So, I'll be there Saturday and if the weather holds then I will cook if not it will be Sunday.

I figure I'll start around 1 pm.

I will also bring 25lb propane tank for the Q

Be there for the munchies.

I wont be doing any flying that day.

Let me know how many will attend please.

Cheers

Man this is so typical. Bill comes out all set, and I cannot come along. My wifes birthday on Saturday and she returns on friday from beeing away for 4 weeks, so I guess I cannot pull this one of. Anyway thanks Bill, really great! Regards Pete

That's too bad Pete. If I get her a B-day cake will she come out?
What more can you ask for. A b-day party out in the country....

Peter if the weather don't hold we can have it on Sunday..

Thanks Andrew.
This is why I asked how many will attend so I will be able to know what to bring. I don't want anything to go bad.
Even if you are not going to fly come out anyway.
What ta heck, who passes up a good meal these days anyway....

Cheers

Hi guys, It looks like most of the members are going on Holidays or are on holidays and not too many will attend.

So, instead of wasting all this food and effort. I decided to have it two weeks down the road when everybody gets back.

I only got the propane tank and I didn't buy any food yet so no money wasted.
I was looking forward to it but it looks like the weather is another factor.

Enjoy wherever you going and see you when you get back.

regards
Bill

Yea sorry about that.
I guess I didn't think that alot of folks will be on holidays.
Is Okay though I hope the 22nd is much better weather and most people are back. I hate to see food go to waste.
I will be at the MARS fun fly.
Vario should be there. I will bring my Eurocopter so we can try her out.
Any volunteers;)
I am too darn scared:eek: to give it a try. I spooled her up at the shop and it scared me. She is swinging 720mm blades times 4.
The rotor diameter is 1.6m (5ft)

That electric motor with the clutch is awesome..
Anyway will see you there. Bring an umbrella of suntan lotion.

Cheers

Well Saturday it don't look too promissing according to the weatherman, but Sunday looks good.

So we play it by ear and is either Saturday or Sunday, but for sure is going on.
Bring your self and family if you wish.
I'll be there anyway.

Everyone who had Bill's treat was just praising the good food. I was not lucky since I arrived late and had my lunch already.
Besides Bill's cooking habilities we must add his knowledge of all the most incredible places to buy that piece of exotic hardware we really need or how to do some painting job that looks like a final challenge.

It is our luck to have him as a member and friend....

Plus the guy is plain fun to be around!

Bill, thank you so much for making such great food, it was much appreciated by all who indulged. A few pictures of the master at work. You are a great chef, thanks,

Wish I had been there too.

Thanks again Bill, the food was great. That was the first time Philippe had tried souvlaki on pita with tzatziki, and he finished it off - high praise from a 10 year old who is suspicious of any food he hasn't seen before.

I want to thank everyone for their praises.
It gave me a great pleasure to do this after trying for weeks to compete with the weather and finally won.

But you know the best thing out of all this is not so much the cooking but watching everybody enjoying it, and comming back for seconds.

There's nothing gives more pleasure to the cook than watching his eaters enjoying a good meal.

Thanks to Ronald for the propane tank as the one I brought would not fit the BBQ valve.

till next time them...

cheers
