I don't think he will fly it this year. They have to custom make the skis for that thing...At to go David..keep it up and soon we will have to lenghten the runway....

Hi,

Engine DLE 111, Prop 32/10

27x10 is recommended break-in prop for this engine... 28x10 is the maximum recommended prop... 32x10 is way too big IMHO.

Hi,

Recommended Engine for this Plane is 100 to 150, But I know the plane can fly with out any problems 85CC engine. Regarding the Prop Greg you right!!!

David

You got that right David, a DA-85 is a strong engine.
Nice plane buddy!!!

David, you should consider the same cannister muffler system that Greg uses (also a 3-blade prop after break in) in order to keep the noise down for flying at WIMAC.

That would be the next logical step in size :

I love it Xavier! A scale model that is not RC, but requires a real pilot on board!

For the canister system I am using, it came from Pilot-RC in China. Not sure if David's model has a tunnel for this but if it does, you can find them here (http://www.pilot-rc.com/OtherProductshow.aspx?id=8).

You would probably have to go with the flexible headers (no experience with these) as the fixed headers are fitted for Pilot-RC's planes, I'm not even sure what the drop is, maybe 70mm...

What did the original owner of this plane have for a setup engine wise?

Here are the larger pictures of this model I found on RCUniverse, no pictures of the engine setup unfortuantely...

Hi

My model Plane hasn't tunnel for cannister muffler system,

Looks like you have the room to cut two holes in the firewall for the headers to pass through. You would need to glue a bracket inside just above the main landing gear.

Hi,

I am not going to cut holes in the firewall, I would like to think for different solution.

Most large planes have a big hole in the bottom of the firewall for the cannisters ... holes would reduce weight also.
