Was at the Amidaire float fly this past weekend. Good weather, and pleasant enviroment. Lot's of flying. I brought my Super Cub 108" wingspan on floats. Flew very well, my first time flying on floats, and enjoyed the experience. Take offs are different, landings are easy. I was lucky, all my take offs were on the money.

It's that time again. The Amidair float fly is this next Saturday (Sunday is rain day) in Laval. It's a nice place for float flying. I'll be there with my Beaver and flying foamie boat. I will also probably take my trainer out of retirement again for that event.

It's that time again. The Amidair float fly is this next week Saturday June 13th (Sunday is rain day) in Laval. It's a nice place for float flying. I'll be there with my Beaver and my trainer with its new covering job.

The organiser is looking for a small power boat that could be used to retreive airplanes if needed. You could contact Raymond G. Forget (rgforget@videotron.ca) if you could help.

well I'm ready for the Float Fly in Laval saturday :)
I decided to install a set of floats on my T-Rex 450 SEV2 last night for the float fly event Saturday. They are 30 size floats a bit big for it but still cute and they work very well. I adjust Stunt 2 with a special Throttle and Pitch curve for float flying. I tested it this morning, It was misty rain and breezy and small shops on the water but it flew very well and I was able to ride on the water like a pontoon boat too. very cool :D
I made a small clear plastic plate under to protect the Motor and ESC from water splash and cover the hole under the canopy. Flew 6 min with no overheating problem.
