TONIGHT AT 7PM

The WIMAC AGM will be held on Monday December 6 at Bar-12 on 32nd Avenue in Lachine. Time is 6pm for dinner, 7pm for the meeting.

Note that while we generally have two meetings per year (spring and fall), it is the fall meeting that is the official annual meeting where budgets are approved, officers elected etc.

Agenda for the meeting is as follows:
Review of 2010 summer season
2010 budget update
Field conditions and work for 2011.
Plans for indoor flying.
Plans for winter flying.
Presentation and adoption of 2011 budget
Election of officers (president, vice-president, secretary/treasurer) and directors.
With regards to the election of officers, please note that I will not be putting my name forward for re-election this year, so there will need to be a new club president elected. If you would like to have your name on the list for the election, please send me an email or PM. If there is someone that you believe would be a good choice it is up to you to discuss it with that person so that he puts his name forward. Please make sure that I have all names no later than Friday December 3rd.

Please post to indicate if you will be attending the meeting and if you will be there for dinner. We need to make sure that we reserve a large enough area.

Hope to see you there,

Andrew

I will attend the meeting if the weather allows for not too bad highway driving, but will not have supper at the restaurant.

I've got the flu or something:mad: and "you all" will be glad I won't be there spreading this beauty to you just before Christmas. Have a very Merry Christmas, Happy New Year & a great planning session for next years flying season.

We had about 14 people (please correct me if I missed someone) that made it through snow so the AGM went ahead as planned. A copy of the presentation used to guide the meeting is attached. I think that Ronald will have a few more notes later on.

Main results are as follows:
1. James Steger elected as president
2. Michael Jenkins elected as a director
3. Richard Sabourin elected as a director (field manager)
4. Daniel Bernesi elected as a director (safety coordinator)
5. David Janashvili elected as a director (training coordinator)

Congratulations to all of them, along with a "thank you" for being willing to help out the club.

Club fees maintained at $125 for next year, and a reminder that both WIMAC and MAAC memberships expire on December 31, so please renew if you want to fly in the new year.

Congratulations to all the new executives. I do not know all of you but am certain that the club chose wisely and you will ensure that WIMAC remains a great place to spend our free time.
Thank you to Andrew and Kevin and other outgoing executives for the important work done the last couple of years to keep the club strong.
Thank you to Greg, Ronald, and others who continue to do difficult tasks vital to WIMAC.

I intend to visit the field during my next trip to Montreal in January.

I intend to visit the field during my next trip to Montreal in January.

Be sure to visit when Mike is on duty, his BBQ sausages are the most un-kosher thing you will ever tasted...

Nice to see you keep an eye on us...
