so I ended up going to the indoor event today, was nice to see a thriving RC community in my neighborhood:)

I ended up buying a Click2 kit from one of the members ( sorry if you read this I forgot your name and I know you told me twice already)

Im buying a JR 9303 transmitter from someone in trois-rivieres with a flight case for around $200. I will most likely get the 2.4ghz module from ebay at $100+ shipping. so my radio set will be costing me about 350 all in. I'm debating if its not worth it just buy a new JJR-DSX9-M2 for about $450??

I was wondering if someone wouldnt mind advising me on parts to go with my click2. Its been a few years I havent been looking at the market so any help would be appreciated. So far I have selected the following:

radio:

The only thing im missing is some 300-400mah batteries. Can anyone make any suggestions?

many thanks in advance!

The esc should be fine.

I suggest this motor. It has proven itself.

For servos, use two 500's and one 900 on ailerons.

For a radio,I like the jr9503 and if you are buying new I suggest Distribution Modéliste at around 550$.

You'll get better warranty service and the price is pretty much the same since Hbby King's offering lacks battery and charger.

If you are thinking of spending $500 on a radio I would recommend you look at the Hitec Aurora 9, Ionel and I both bought one about six months ago and they are fantastic easy to programme and more features than you can shake a stick at.

I agree with Ronald for the motor. I have a few of these in planes similar to the Clik.

This is the ESC to use for the TR2204-14T motor: https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=4318
Unfortunatly it is back order for now. 12A ESC is overpower/overweight.

I have used these servos with good results on many similar planes: https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=2151
The HXT 500 is ok also but the 900 is too heavy in my opinion.

Remimber that weight is the enemy of indoor airplanes (and airplanes in general). A good Clik will be around 130g I think. If you use heavy stuff, it will get heavier obviously. Think in % when you compare stuff. You will see how scary it becomes. 4.4g vs 5g for the servos, is about 10% !!! 6g vs 10g on the ESC is 40% !!!

Your receiver suggestion is good. I have 2 of these and they work well.

I agree, after all the repairs from being shewed up by other prop's or hitting the wall or ground your plane gets heavy very quick.
