Hi folks!
I hope everyone has had a good winter. I sort of ran out of free time for flying last summer, but I'm looking forward to spring, warmer weather and giving things another go.
It's been a busy fall/winter with the cadets. I lost a few to other programs and activities (It's hard to compete when at 16 they can apply to get a full 8 week scholarship for their pilot's license...). We've added a few new ones, and have been running our own indoor flying/building program as last year. Time, and the attention span of teens is working against me, but I'm hoping we will have finished a new trainer before the end of April! That will give 690 Squadron two trainer aircraft. I'm hoping this summer that one or two of them can find the time to become regular club members.
