I've been playing around with this for sometime and I finally go it finished.
Is a coaxial motors design but both props are on the same side.
I use TD-750 from HK just to ry it. cheapos.
The props are Xoar 11x5 one spind CW and one CCW. Space between props is 35mm.
will see what happens.
Test maybe this weekend.

cheers

PS here's where I got the idea but who can afford them?

This is a great idea and you are pretty handy for putting it together.

It's like the stern drive on inboard/outboard boats. (Bravo III).
The motor kill bemounted perfertly square with the plane since the opposite rotations will remove the side / down effect.

Does it exist on real plane??

Does it exist on real plane??

Many planes, even from WWII. Billy that should be interesting, was it to achieve greater payload?, or do you believe it will increase stability of your platform? or both?

Thanks guys. Well the way t'was before I had to run a smaller prop on top or increase the rpm on the bottom prop.
The distance between the two props (before) I was loosing thrust. Mostly for efficiency. The smaller battery I can carry the more payload I can lift. Some people think that lifting a payload of 5lb is no problem. Is not the weight of the payload I'm worried about.

When the vehicle decends and AUW is 18lb you need about 16kg of thrust to slow down before you hit the ground.
The avrotos I got they rated at 1.2-1.8kg of thrust with 5s lipo.

At an average of 1.5kg per motor that's 12kg of thrust (for a octo) which 8kg AUW is plenty.

They say that the sweet spot for the distance between the props is 40mm.
Also this way the bottom prop is not going to hit the ground in case of unbalanced landing.
Does it exist on real plane??
here you go.

Zorba, you remind me of the first climber of the Everest... why he did it? "Because it was there!"
You and Rich are so way ahead of the curve that you will catch up to us from behind!

Hi Albert welcome back.
Thanks, but yes just because is there or not there.:)
I can easily by the motors but for 219 euro's that's 900euro's for four. too much even for me.
The DT-750 costs around 12 buck times 8 that's $96 + shipping.
Not a bad deal.

I love tinkering with new things and to see them work at the end is very satisfying.

The other thinga I am working on is camera mounts for the multis and helis.

Cheers

The infamous Hover board from Back To The Future movie can become reality (kind of) with this type of equipment :):):)
