Well, this old trainer sure acts like the Phoenix, Last Monday ((oct 08) I did not take into account that the wind would die down when my old PSIT special was about 3 feet from the deck, half way to a smooth landing = stall and crash!
The fuselage was always a weak point on that modified Advance 40...but I should have flown it in and NOT used the AOA control (elevator) until closer to the ground.
So I ended up reinforcing the sides with thin ply (veneer) and epoxied everything back in place (no CA this time) and some covering...not a show-piece...shows battle scars also a reminder to me!
