Règles générales de sécurité
- Le MAAC est requis.
- LES MASQUES DOIVENT ÊTRE PORTÉS EN TOUT TEMPS car nos activités n'impliquent pas d'exercice
- Lunettes de protection obligatoires.
- Seulement les chaussures de sport sont admises dans les gymnases/Dome.

Règles de notre contrat avec Le Collège Charlemagne:
- Maximums: Avions 300g, Hélis 250, Quads 450. Pas d'hélices en carbone.
- Covid-19 : le passeport de vaccination est obligatoire. La personne dédiée à WIMAC conservera une note du statut de vaccination vérifié de toute personne participant à une activité de vol intérieur.
- Aucune nourriture n’est permise dans les gymnases.
- Il est important lors de notre location d'attendre que les élèves soient sortis du gymnase avant d'y entrer.
- Gratuit pour les membres du Club Wimac, 10$ par soir pour les autres.

Règles de notre contrat avec TIM HORTON DOME(Mis à jour)
- Seulement les avions légers et lents sont autorisés (c'est-à-dire de type UMX, ou si plus grand, par exemple Clic, doit être en mousse, léger, monomoteur, max. 2 cell LIPO). Les avions rapides et/ou difficiles à contrôler et susceptibles de devenir incontrôlables doivent être évités.
- Les drones ou les hélicoptères doivent être micro et pilotés dans un coin où ils n'interfèrent pas avec la trajectoire des avions.
- Avions/manœuvres 3D limités aux 30 dernières minutes de chaque session de 2 heures, sauf si tous les membres présents en conviennent autrement
Notes:
- Covid-19: Une preuve de vaccination complète est requise et un questionnaire sur les symptômes de COVID devra être répondu.
- Membres Club WIMAC seulement (gratuit)

General Safety rules
- MAAC membership required.
- MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES since our activities do not involve exercise
- Mandatory protective safety glasses.
- Only sports shoes allowed in the gyms/Dome.

Rules of our contract with College Charlemagne:
- Maximum sizes: Planes 300g, Helis 250, Quads 450. No carbon props.
- Covid-19: vaccination passport is mandatory. WIMAC dedicated person will keep a note of verified vaccination status of any individual participating in indoor flying activity.
- No food allowed in the gyms.
- It is important to wait for the students to exit the gym before we enter gym at the beginning of our session.
- Free for Club Wimac members, 10$ for visiting non-members.

Rules of our contract with TIM HORTON DOME (Updated)
- Only light and slow planes allowed (ie UMX type, or if larger, e.g. Clic, must be foam, light, single motor, max 2 cell LIPO). Planes that are fast and or can be difficult to control and prone to getting out of control must be avoided.
- Drones or helis must be micro and flown in a corner where they will not interfere with the plane pattern.
- 3D planes/maneuvers limited to last 30 minutes of each 2 hour session unless all members present agree otherwise
Notes:
- Covid-19: Proof of full vaccination is required and a questionnaire on COVID symptoms will have to be answered. Masks have to be worn when entering the Dome but can be removed once inside as long as social distancing is observed.
- Club WIMAC members only (free)

You can ask your local hobby shop - Ted’s, Distribution aux Modélistes, etc. In my case just online with Twisted Hobbies. They offer full kits (servos, motors, ESC, receivers) and I strongly recommend them for a successful project. It is not cheap but you will enjoy many hours of fun!

Actually, this is more 4D than 3D when reverse pitch is used.

In context, I guess we can say anything that is not pattern flying (following the same circuit), is 3D flying.

In talking to a member who has flown at the Dome before with the Cornwall Aeromodellers club, the intention is to reduce risk of damage to the Dome upper walls/ceiling from aircraft crashes (the mid/lower sides of the Dome are protected by nets).

So the purpose of the rule is any flying that increases risk of collision with the Dome walls/ceiling is to be avoided.

So I assume the idea on the 3D rule is to minimize the situation where simultaneous pattern (circuit) flying and 3D flying might force some planes closer to the upper walls/ceiling of the Dome, thereby endangering the Dome infrastructure.

Evidently simultaneous pattern and 3D flying also increases the risk of mid-air collisions, but that is an issue for members. WIMAC members have used common sense at the Charlemagne gym to self-regulate taking turns at pattern and 3D flying when the space gets crowded with both types of flying. Every member flies at their own risk and takes care of their own aircraft repairs/replacements.

The bottom line, common sense and awareness of the risk to the infrastructure should prevail. If the Dome infrastructure gets damaged by WIMAC activities, WIMAC pays, and it won’t be cheap. I guess we could provide a reasonable rule/incentive that the first, say $1,000, on any Dome damage caused by a WIMAC member will be payable by that member.

I have a question for the clik 21 flyers. How are you transporting your plane to the gym? They seem very fragile to just carry them in. The wind can be very strong next to the building.

A box of any kind helps, Cardboard & Tape, Foam-Board or Construction Foam (Blue/Pink) are all great :-)

Here is an example of a big plane in a box of foam board, CA Glued from the inside corners (The CA will be in contact with the paper only and accelerated cure with the CA Kicker) AND any kind of large tape from the outside...even the hinge is made of large tape.
and you can still install with double side velcro to secure your plane inside the box (The wheels and the tail good points to attach).
You will get enough space to put you other small UMX and other staff...:D

Yes the box will be very light and can fly on the wind...but at least you will get many corners to grab it :cool:
