Hi All, I have a Pitts biplane with a .46 nitro that I want to convert to electric. It is 2kgs, with out the motor and Batt. I feel I need a 6s pack. Any thoughts on if a 4s would work ? or what motor I should get for a 6s pack ?

Look at Eflite Power 46. It is the recommended motor to convert from .46 nitro.
A 4s battery will be enough but it can take 5s. You will get more power than with a nitro engine.

Most Emotor manufacturer have an equivalent they call E46 or P46.

My favorite electric power system is E60 with 5000 6S. 100A ESC.

Don't forget to install the prop only when everything is complete and perfect.

The power 46 should do the job. I have two on my CL415 that weight 6kg.
It has plenty of power to fly at half throttle and have good climb rate on 5S. I set it up really safe for all components at about 400W & 25A per motor so it could certainly show a lot more.

I recommend using this prop adapter below. The original one came off the shaft when running the motor on the ground twice even after re-tightening. It could have been dangerous to people and it could have caused a crash if it had happened in the air on a twin: https://www.horizonhobby.com/product/prop-adapter-power-46-52-60/EFLM1934.html

The setup of my CL415:
Eflite Power 46, Avian ESC 60A, APC 12x8, 5S5000 Lipo.

There is a bit more work to do before that :-)
But it's on the list of project for sure.

But this is the ideal time of year for it, Xavier. I haven't been down to the field lately, but there are probably lots of puddles you can help us clear.:)
