Hi All,

Does anyone know if I need to adjust the CG point after I convert to electric, to account for the weight of the gas upon take off ?

I am not sure if I am too tail heavy now, given the original CG position might have been determined with the weight of a full tank of fuel upon take off ?

I am off by about 250g now.

Thanks

Your CG should by the same as per origignal sepcs.
With electric, we usualy move the battery to find the right CG.

Good reply above. Plus, we usually measure while building, ie with an empty tank. The fuel isn’t really that heavy and doesn’t usually change the CG too much, maybe moving it slightly forward which would help make the plane a little more stable, but the effect is negligible.
