Hi all, I'm looking for recommendations for a good brand of sunglasses that fit over my regular prescription lenses. I bought a cheap pair at a pharmacy a couple of years ago, but they don't have a UV(polarized) filter and I don't find they work very well when flying on a bright day. Do any of you know of a good brand and where to get them? Thanks and Merry Christmas!! Doug

I would just clarify a couple of things.
UV protection and polarized lenses are not the same. You can have UV protection on unpolarized glasses. Polarized means that they are also reducing sun glare. It is good for watercrafts, but not that much necessary in our case for aircrafts. We are looking into the sky and there are rarely any glare. For myself I discovered that polarized glasses make my eyes tired sooner. I don't know why.
I myself use a pair of Extreme Glare Sunglasses. (https://www.z-xg.com) They are good, but unfortunately too expensive for the quality you get. I am sure it is possible to find some cheaper alternatives.

For the sunny day I use smoke lenses.
For evening or hazy day (when I usually fly) I use rose lenses.
For dark cloudy weather (before rain) it is better to have a pair of yellow lenses.

Fortunately I don't have to wear glasses over glasses. But most manufacturers offer the following model to wear over glasses.
