That would be one way, but I am not sure I would like flying it with the extra weight.
In principle you can cut out damaged parts and replace them, but alignment could be a challenge. I did patch a few holes in the skin by printing flat sheets and gluing them over the hole. In this case i figured it would just be easier to reprint the whole thing. Combining the parts the way I have done this time means long print times for each job, but not very many jobs, and should be very fast assembly. I think that I will have 9 parts to assemble, and that includes two vertical stabilizers and two wing tips.
