Definitely more fragile. I am not convinced that they are really practical in the long term, but they are an interesting way to try out new designs. This model takes less than 1kg of PLA, so it will cost me about $25 to rebuild (PLA + glue), which isn't bad. I will be travelling this week so won't have time to finish it for the weekend, but otherwise it would be ready for mid week.
