Membership/Reservation limits relaxed - 11 June 2021

In view of the increasing use of the field, particularly at weekends, and because we are still operating under pandemic restrictions, the WIMAC Directors have decided to:
- limit the total number of members at the club to 95 members (excluding applications for juniors and children related to current members).
Between now and May 31, only 2020 members will be permitted to renew. If the maximum of 95 has not been reached by that date, other renewals or new members will be accepted until the limit has been reached.
- increase the total number of plane pilot reservations allowed at one time from 4 to 5 (the limit for heli/drone pilots remains at 2).
Please note that as soon as pandemic restrictions allow, the Directors will eliminate club membership and reservation restrictions.

Compte tenu de l’utilisation croissante du terrain, en particulier les fins de semaine, et parce que nous fonctionnons toujours sous des restrictions pandémiques, les directeurs de WIMAC ont décidé de:
- limiter le nombre total de membres du club à 95 membres (hors candidatures juniors et enfants liées aux membres actuels).
D'ici au 31 mai, seuls les membres 2020 seront autorisés à renouveler. Si le maximum de 95 n'a pas été atteint à cette date, d'autres renouvellements ou de nouveaux membres seront acceptés jusqu'à ce que la limite soit atteinte.
- augmenter le nombre total de réservations de pilotes d'avion autorisées en même temps de 4 à 5 (la limite pour les pilotes d'hélicoptère / drone reste à 2).
Veuillez noter que dès que les restrictions en cas de pandémie le permettront, les administrateurs élimineront les restrictions d'adhésion et de réservation au club.

The current limit of 95 total number of members at the club has been reached. Adrian F. is the last to re-join for the moment.
Only juniors and children related to current members will be accepted.

I'm new to RC flying and I'm trying to find a place to learn to fly.
Will there be opportunities to join your club at some point this summer?

If not, where is the next closest place to the West Island to do so.

As soon as pandemic conditions and government restrictions ease sufficiently, the Directors will remove our flying reservation restrictions and open the club again to additional members.
We are hopeful that this will be soon.

Suite à l'assouplissement des règles provinciales en matière de pandémie, en vigueur immédiatement, les directeurs de WIMAC annoncent ce qui suit :

- La limite temporaire du nombre total de membres est supprimée.
- Le processus de réservation est ajusté pour permettre :

11 - 24 juin : pas plus de 25 membres/invités sur le terrain à la fois

25 juin jusqu'à nouvel ordre : processus de réservation ajusté maintenu, sans limite de 25 personnes.

Pour tenir compte de ce qui précède, le « processus de réservation ajusté » ressemble à ceci :

Matin/matin ( -> 13h) : AA BB CC DD EE FF GG HH II JJ ………
Après-midi (13h ->) : OO PP QQ RR SS TT ……

Si vous restez le matin et l'après-midi, veuillez entrer vos initiales pour les deux périodes.

Pour tenir compte de la limite provinciale temporaire de 25 personnes jusqu'au 24 juin, veuillez faire preuve de bon sens.

Further to the relaxing of provincial pandemic rules, effective immediately, the WIMAC Directors announce the following:

- The temporary limit to total number of members is removed.
- The reservation process is adjusted to allow:

11 June to 24 June: no more than 25 members/guests at the field at a time
25 June until further notice: adjusted reservation process maintained, without 25 person limit.

To accommodate the above, the « adjusted reservation process » looks like this:

Afternoon (13h ->): OO PP QQ RR SS TT ……

If staying morning and afternoon, please enter your initials for both periods.

To accommodate the temporary provincial 25 person limit until 24 June, please use your common sense.

Hi Michael, much thanks to you and the directors for the adaptation / relaxation of the members allowed at the flying field, very welcome news!

All good, thanks Ian, but rather busy at the moment. But since members have started to help me on admin of WIMAC, I hope to replace that with some flying soon
