Hello Mezri,

I am a current and past member, I do not recall if I have met you at the field!

What Scale is your beautifully built and your detailing and completely scale Super Cub?
Wing Span and dimensions, I assume the scale will give me the answers!

Like Brian, I have enjoyed following your progress and very impressed. He is also correct, there were many at the field thru the decades till ARFs arrived!

Thank you.

Thank You All.

Thanks Krishna, Yes we met before many times and I charged your battery that was at 1% to save it from damage.

The wing span is 2.8m,...so 3.9 almost 1/4th scale.

Mezri,

Thanks for the reminder, now I recall and your assistance that day did the trick in saving my battery! and I now make certain your suggestions on maintaining my batteries are principled almost the same as my Nicad days and now have a balancer for all cell types, including my old Nicads. BTW, they are 95 % good.

I asked about your Cub as about 20 years ago I bought a Balsa USA 1/3 scale super cub(140.3/4" inches Wing Span) but never completed it and looking for someone who may be interested in doing so for me at a fee. If anyone else sees this and interested contact me in private message. You can find my PA-18 Super Cub at this link and is still a complete kit at partially built status, not sure how to make a link on our site yet:

You can see some of what I used to fly, I newly added under the Heading>WIMAC>Albums.

Un peut de peinture...capot et helice...le capot devra etre resablé et repeinturé : encore des defauts de surfacage.

Some peint job...cowling and propeller...The cowlind need one more sanding and peint for better surface.

Guignol en carbone pour ailerons et volets. Un longeron pour la partie mobile.

Control horns with carbon for ailerons and flaps. One spar for rigidity.

Boitier de servo encastré dans l'aile avec du contreplaqué fin. Des écrous a griffes pour la fixation des servo.

Servo mount flush on the wing. Made with thin plywood. Blind nuts as fixture.

I bought some RC airplane strobes to put on the wing tip. But they are so bulky that it is impossible to put on. Neither shape nor orientation corresponds to a thin wing tip of the Piper cub. I decided to make a tunel of light with plexiglass, cut, polished and wrapped in adhesive aluminum. A small fiberglass cover to cover everything: strobe and navigation LED.

Pour le phares de pistes, deux LED pour voiture RC, installé dans le bord d'attaque comme le vrais. Test...ça marche.

For the headlights, two LED for made for RC cars, installed in the leading edge like the real ones. Test ... it works.
