The P-47 takes to the air

The P-47 takes to the air. It's hard to tell it apart from the real thing.

Eric, Albert and Gilbert

All having a look at Albert's plane. Albert was not sure if it was his plane or his sons. Eric was calling Albert Daddy.

Film Miracle

How did I ever get three planes in one frame with film, when one roll was it for the day? Easier now with digital when you just keep pressing the shutter.

CAP-21

My fourth plane. A CAP-21 with an OS 1.20 four stroke. CAPs had a reputation for tip stalls. This one lived up to its reputation.

Goldberg Chipmunk

My third plane - after the Kavalier - roughly 1987 or 1988. I had an OS 61 in it at the time (now in the Spitfire). Eventually put in a 91 four stroke and it really got moving. Finally grew tired of it and added retracts and put two .46 on the wing to make it a twin. Wing loading became a bit high, eventally crashed - 2004?.

My Spitfire

Built roughly in 1992. I still have it, but didn't fly it last year.

My Reed Falcon

A Circus Hobbies kit. Initially a 1.20 four stroke, then put a 1.80 in it. Made it exciting for the six minutes until the tank was dry.
